Warning & Disclaimer
Practising yoga with Jax can create serious feelings of happiness & contentment which may in turn alter other people's responses to you. This could quite possibly enhance every aspect of your life.

Jax is author of several best selling Yoga and Pilates books and is a freelance health & fitness writer, physical education teacher and a European NIKE yoga presenter. Her primary objective besides inspiring others to lead healthier lifestyles and become more physically attuned is to help people to more peaceful within themselves and to provide a platform through breath and movement to challenge people to grow.

Jax has studied with some of the worlds best teachers (Anna Forest, Pattabi Jois, Godfrey Devereux, Edward Clark, John Scott and Paul Grilley). Her style follows no set of rules in isolation of the extensive 17 years training that she has undertaken (ashtanga yoga, vinyasa flow yoga, dynamic yoga and Yin Yoga) and instead she prefers to work with her groups & students on what they feel the body needs rather than what the mind thinks the body needs!

A strong yet compassionate teacher who will teach you to become less concerned with the physical asanas and shapes and more attuned to healing and regeneration through the dynamic practice. Sensitivity to your true self and relaxation are key factors.

James Giuseppe

Dates teaching:
March 27-31 2010 Spring Clean Inside Out
Atzaro Ibiza

James has been running and teaching yoga holidays in fabulous locations in Ibiza and India since 2003. He's a firm believer that the practice of yoga can not only improve overall health and fitness, but can also assist in creating balance and gaining perspective in today's modern world and, most importantly, teach us how to RELAX!

James was working as a trader in the City in '95 when he discovered that yoga could relieve chronic back pain and assist in calming a restless mind. He had completed one teacher training course with Sivananda in 2002 when he was thankfully made redundant and began teaching full-time. The decade of City life gave him an invaluable understanding of the challenges of working in high-pressure environments. During the following five years he also gained Yoga Alliance certification and taught in yoga centres and health clubs across London as well as organising his own classes and yoga holidays. In 2006 he went to India for six months' intensive study of Astanga in Mysore and trained with Sri K Pattabhi Jois.

Krista and Brock teach 'Bala'nce Yoga

Teaching the 'Bala' nce Retreat May 23-29 2010 Beach Spa Formentera

(bala) nce yoga* is Brock & Krista’s blend of inversional vinyasa flow; bala is a Sanskrit word meaning strength. Therefore, in this practice, we use our strength to create balance.

What a wonderful way to use your power to cultivate harmony, clarity, grace, and peace.

In this style of practice expect to spend a good deal of your time upside down, or in an arm balance, challenging gravity and using your roots to find wings.

About Krista

Krista fell in love with the practice of yoga in 1999 when she took her first Ashtanga class with Tim Miller. Since that day she has devoted her time and energy to exploring the numerous dimensions of yoga, both as teacher and student. "I look forward each day to the possibility that my practice both on and off the mat can promote a greater awareness in our immediate need for global peace and unification. ALL is ONE." Krista teaches workshops and retreats around the world and has regular classes based in Los Angeles. Krista teaches a vigorous Vinyasa Flow class filled with challenging armbalances and inversions. She believes that our obstacles are our greatest blessings. Krista and her husband Brock Cahill live their Yoga together in Venice Beach, California.

About Brock

To contact the teacher click here

Brock began his training at yogaworks, in santa monica, where the style is heavily based in the classical ashtanga and iyengar methods. he was lucky enough to have been mentored by some of the finest teachers on the planet including; annie carpenter, chuck miller & maty ezraty, heath house, and seane corn. these fine people taught brock the roots of yoga, how the roots of the asanas directly correspond to gravity, and how the body interacts with earth. it was from here that he developed the strength and the confidence to take flight. brock continually tells his students, "gravity is strong. you are stronger." practice with him for awhile and you most certainly will be. as soon as YOU believe it... anything is possible. gravity is, of course, a law: a rule. after we have learned the rule, we can break it, we can bend it, we can ride on it.

Bryan Kest

Now 41, Bryan Kest has been practicing yoga for more than 26 years. He initially studied in Hawaii with David Williams, the first person to bring Ashtanga yoga to America. He then studied in India with K. Pattabhi Jois, the main proponent of Ashtanga yoga. Kest has been teaching yoga for 21 years. "My primary objective", says Kest, "besides turning more and more people on to a healthier, more peaceful lifestyle that continually challenges them to grow, is to teach a system of exercise that fully integrates the body, mind, and spirit.

The new trend towards yoga is not surprising, given that the body is limited and the mind is limitless. The combination of body and mind creates an incredibly broad range of fulfillment, including top physical condition and a calm, peaceful, clear mind."
